Math Can Be Fun

Before purchasing a math curriculum I printed many resources that were Montessori based. My son attended a Montessori pre-k program and I really liked the teaching methods they used. It’s not just pencils, paper and workbooks.

You can purchase the wooden number cards or print and laminate the Large Number Cards from Montessori Album. There are many free printables on that website that you may find helpful.

The curriculum we did purchase was Montessori based. Shiller Learning has 3 math kits. The scripting and answers are all there for you to teach your child math concepts. This is a multi-sensory curriculum to hit on all learning styles. Samples of their math and language arts curriculum is available on their website. Click on “Mostly Free Stuff, Sample Lessons, and choose what you want to download.

I recently found they have their fractions kit for free via download. Make sure to choose the Virtual Kit in the pull down menu. I don’t know how long it will be for free so get it while you can!
